Planning. Budgeting. Executing. We’ve now been in our bride’s shoes (Badgley Mischka’s to be exact!), on the other side of the lens, planned and executed a wedding! It’s official (nearly 5 months official), Rachel and Paul are married!!!

When our brides say planning a wedding is a full time job on it’s own, we now totally understand! Seriously, there are so many moving parts, people involved, details to remember, and to add to everything, the venue was four hours away. Everyone kept asking since we live in one of the most beautiful areas in California, why wouldn’t the wedding be here in Monterey. Well, how would you like to get married at your place of work? Weird right! That’s they way we felt. We shoot weddings at our local venues every weekend and wanted something special and unique.

Early 2016, right after the proposal, we were in Charleston for our first time, and everywhere we turned would have been a dream wedding venue, expect we were on the wrong coast! Now try to find a colonial home in California, that’s a tough task! Paul found it though, McCormick Home Ranch, a little hidden gem tucked away in the middle of southern California. Just far enough away to be a destination, still close enough to feel like home.

We have been dying to share the wedding with all of you! From a brides perspective, wedding planning consumed us for a few months, and we kept pushing everyday life stuff to “after the wedding.” You have no idea how many times we said this and how LONG the after the wedding list was getting! Well, it’s been nearly five months since the wedding, life now seems to be just getting routine again, and we’re just now finally getting to share the wedding with the world!

There are soooooooooooooooooo many people we have to thank for the bottom of our hearts for helping bring this dream wedding to life! Seriously, without every single one of you, the day wouldn’t have been the same! If you scroll to the bottom of the blog there is a complete vendor list, but a few shout outs are in order. Mandi from A Sparkling Event and Sarah from La Bella Weddings, hands down the best DREAM TEAM coordinators than we could have ever imagined! Floral Design by Reina completely AMAZED us and her breathtaking florals, flower wall, bouquets, dessert bar, centerpieces – this list goes on and on and couldn’t have been more perfect! MUAH Makeup & Hair for making the entire bridal party and moms look and feel like a million bucks! Last but not certainly least, Amy & Jordan. Thank you for capturing the day, making everyone feel at ease, bringing laughter when needed, hugs when needed, and being part of our family. We LOVE all of you to pieces and THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts! You have no idea how much you mean to us and we will never forget all you’ve done to help bring this dream wedding to life!
