6. What type of cameras do you guys have?

We’re Canon girls and shoot 100% digital. That’s not to say we don’t have a passion for film and have it on our Big Goal list to learn someday.

8. If things go longer than expected, can you stay longer?

You bet! Things happen and we completely understand. We have a la carte hourly session that can be added to your day.

9. Is it okay if other people are taking photos while you are taking photos?

This is a VERY important topic to discuss before your wedding. A lot of couples are now choosing to have an unplugged wedding. An unplugged wedding is when you ask your guest to shut off their cameras and phones off for the day. There have been instances where a guest steps right in the isle during the kiss and completely blocks our shot, or someones flash mixed with ours totally whites out a room. Now turning them off all-day may be a stretch, but it is so important for the ceremony. The only thing we do require we’re the only professional photographers at your wedding, besides if you decide to hire a videographer or photo-booth.

10. Have you ever shot at my venue before?

There are hundreds of wedding venues within Monterey County alone. We shoot 12-15 weddings a year throughout the area so our venue list continues to grow. If we have, great. We’ll be able to tell you the in’s and out’s and what works best where. On the other hand if we haven’t shot your venue yet, that is when we can be the most creative. Fresh landscapes leads to new ideas. If your wedding is a new venue or one we’ve shot many times, we always love to do a walk-though with you before hand. That way we see your vision and hear your heart for the day. That is what is SO important to us. Making your day uniquely yours.

11. Do you guys shoot destination weddings? If so, is there a fee for travel?

YES! YES! YES! OK, I might have just gotten a little too excited for a moment, but we LOVE to travel! Living in Monterey, we get told all the time why would you ever want to shoot anywhere else. Don’t get us wrong, we adore it here, but we’re always itching for a little adventure. We’re always looking to travel even if it’s just out of Monterey County, to out of state, to even better yet… out of the country.

When shooting a destination wedding, there are some travel fees involved. It can be simply mileage (depending on how far away it is), or could include airfare, hotel, etc. Honestly, if you’re planning an out of state or country wedding, talk to us first! We would love to work with you to make it happen! If you read our Scary Dream post, we named a few of countries on our bucket list we would like to shoot someday. Italy, Amsterdam, Australia anyone?
