Isle of Palms Anniversary | This gorgeous couple is celebrating 10 years of marriage this year. 10 Years! That is something that cannot go un-celebrated. A year and a half ago when we relocated to the Low Country, we left our leadership role of the Rising Tide Society in Monterey, California, and joined the local group here in Charleston, South Carolina. We were greeted with the most infectious smile and outgoing personality, enough to be welcomed with open arms and we felt like we belonged way before we ever knew another sole in the room. This amazing human was Leigh.
We quickly became very close friends. Leigh is a photographer herself, so it helped us feel connected to someone is else in our field and not so much an outsider. Let us tell you a little about Leigh… she is a yoga going mother of two kiddos, and two fur babies. She spent years traveling Europe and Asia during college with her camera by her side, but missing the states (and Kraft Mac & Cheese & Taco Bell), she returned home and started her own photography business.
Once you’ve scrolled through this session, you might notice Leigh is wearing four different outfits. Normally during a session we capture two, three outfits tops, but after meeting with our friend Lori at Model Bride and going a bit try-on crazy, we couldn’t help ourselves but to borrow all four. Our friends at Alter Image did her hair and makeup, while Sweet Leaf Floral provided her bouquet.
We spent the afternoon with Leigh and her amazing husband Kyle. We strolled this beautiful park behind their Mt. Pleasant home (yes, this is their backyard!), before heading to a white sandy beach, to end this dreamy Isle of Palms anniversary session at sunset. We watched as the skies turned cotton candy pink with the tide rising as we were slowly loosing how much beach actually had remaining. We couldn’t end the evening without popping a bottle of bubbly and toasting to 10+ more years for these sweet friends. Happy Anniversary Kyle and Leigh!
