Once your date is reserved, we’ll work with you to choose the perfect spot for your session. On the day of your session, we’ll touch base to make sure the weather still looks good and everything is set to go. By then, we’ll have already exchanged numbers and finalized our meeting spot, so everything runs smoothly and stress-free.
To help your session flow effortlessly, we recommend bringing along a few essentials. Comfortable shoes are helpful for walking between locations, and a small touch-up kit with items like lipstick, powder, or a hairbrush can be great to have on hand. If you’re including your pup, be sure to bring a leash, a few treats, and maybe a favorite toy to help grab their attention. When choosing outfits for your portrait session, think complement rather than match. Instead of wearing identical colors, aim for shades and tones that work well together. For example, if he’s wearing a soft blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, she might choose a flowing light blue dress to coordinate beautifully without being too “matchy.”
We also recommend sticking to color families—like warm neutrals, soft pastels, or rich jewel tones—for a cohesive look across your photos. The goal is to create harmony while letting each of you shine in your own style.
And don’t forget: comfort and confidence are key! If you feel good in what you're wearing, it will show in every photo.

If you can’t tell, flowers are our love language—we’d have them in every portrait if we could! We always recommend bringing a beautiful bouquet or a hand-held basket filled with florals to add a romantic, natural touch to your photos.
Other fun ideas? A bottle of champagne for a celebratory pop, a floppy hat (more for holding than wearing!), a picnic basket with your favorite treats, a cozy blanket for lounging, or even a pair of bicycles for a playful, carefree vibe.

FAVORITE SESSION SPOTS
The sooner, the better! Our weekends tend to fill up quickly—especially during the busy spring and fall seasons—so the earlier you reach out, the more likely you are to snag your ideal date.
To officially reserve your spot, we’ll just need a signed contract and a retainer. And if something comes up and you need to reschedule, no worries—just let us know, and we’ll work with you to find a new date that works!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you’ve modeled professionally, chances are you will feel a little awkward at first—and that’s totally normal! We do this for a living, and even we feel like deer in the headlights when we're in front of the camera.
But here’s the good news: that feeling fades fast. As the session goes on and we guide you through natural poses and prompts, you'll start to loosen up and actually have fun. We promise—we've got you every step of the way!
We're Awkward IN PHOTOS
Rescheduling is always an option—though we totally get that it’s a bummer! If you have your heart set on clear skies and golden light, we’ll work with you to choose a new date. We typically make the final call the morning of (or a few hours before) your session, depending on the forecast.
If there’s lightning, strong winds, hail, or any unsafe conditions, we’ll absolutely need to reschedule—no questions asked.
That said, if it’s just overcast or there’s only a chance of rain, we sometimes embrace it! A moody sky and a clear umbrella can actually make for some super dreamy, romantic photos. We're always up for making a little magic in unexpected moments.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within 2-3 weeks of your session, you’ll receive a link to your personal online gallery where you can download all your high-resolution images.
The gallery also makes ordering prints, canvases, and keepsakes super easy—kind of like turning on a Roomba and letting it do its thing. Just click, customize, and your favorites are on their way to becoming beautiful, tangible memories.
