We are so excited that you're here! Our photography focuses on iconic, timeless, stylish images, full of beautiful light and natural emotion. We genuinely love how we're able to connect with couples who have the same approach to love and values that we have. Our couples love intimate settings, elaborate details, and family values. They are inspired by coastal surroundings, are classic with a modern twist, and want portrait session that feels like THEM.
Together, we have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, have been fortunate enough to have documented hundreds of some of the most beautiful weddings all around the world, and make up one incredibly unique mother-daughter team. We have documented weddings from the breathtaking West Coast, to the historic East, and our work has been seen in major publications such as Popsugar, The Knot, New York Times, Inspired by This, Pottery Barn, and Good Housekeeping.
It doesn’t matter what kind of camera we use, we are all here for one purpose; to pass on our legacy to the future generations. It could be the most mundane daily occurrence like sipping your favorite coffee in the morning, or something as important as the bride & groom’s first kiss. We are photographers, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your wedding, and are capable of turning an experience into a tangible form of art.

We have photographed hundreds of portrait sessions over the past decade. As mother and daughter photographers, family is everything. We all lead very busy lives from one day to another, often not realizing how much time has passed. Wither your newly engaged, celebrating a milestone anniversary, or simply stumble across an old photo, and can't believe how how many years it's been since your last portraits session (if ever!). We understand completely and strive to make this a simple process. Photography is more than just images, it's a legacy. Our mission goes beyond delivering exceptional photographs, and we strive to offer excellence in the experience we provide. We believe in femininity, diversity, and timeless elegance. Once your date is reserved, we'll help you choose the perfect location. There are just stunning areas along the Low Country Coast, from lush gardens that are always in bloom, the low-hanging mossy trees Charleston is famous for, magical beaches, historic downtown with remarkable structures, cobblestone streets, and pastel buildings such as Rainbow Row, even the hidden gems on local islands to choose from. From there we’ll find a location ideal for you!
We'll provide the best time of day for light, crowds, closing times, even tide schedules! If you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let us know because we would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!

On the day of your session, we'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll have already exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location. Please plan for your session to take about 45 to 60 minutes from start to finish, depending on what collection you've selected.
The SEssion

All images from our sessions are typically delivered within two - three weeks of the session date via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family, order prints and even download images to share on social media.
Your gallery will remain active for 10 years!

We love to walk the historic streets of downtown Charleston with our couples, literally every street holds something new and amazing to capture. From the building textures, Cobblestone streets, over-flowing flower boxes, darling doorways, and momentous gates, what could one not love!
DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON

Hampton Park is one of Charleston's largest parks and boasts the most extensive floral displays we have ever seen. Sunrise or sunset, this park allows for portraits all year round! From Spring blooms to Fall foliage, we get excited each and every time someone chooses this location! This 60 acres historic park is known for it's Spanish moss trees, adorable gazebo, miles of lovely trails, and a man-made lake surrounding a beautiful water fountain.
HAMPTON PARK

Kiawah is a sea island about 25 miles southwest of Charleston. It is primarily a private beach known for its PGA Golf Course and mansion waterfront estates. In addition to its 10 miles of beaches, Kiawah Island has perfectly preserved maritime forests, sand dunes and marshes, which is PERFECT for portraits!

Magnolia Gardens, Boone Hall, and Middleton Place are just a few of the most historic gardens in Charleston and showcase the Spanish moss oak trees the Low Country is known for. The gorgeous filtered light thought the trees makes for such a romantic setting and stunning portraits.

White Point Garden is huge public park located at the tip of the Charleston peninsula. Bounded by East Battery, Murray Blvd., King St., and South Battery. located in the heart of Charleston’s historic district, lined by famous Spanish moss trees. This park provides a spectacular views of Charleston Harbor, where the Ashley and Cooper rivers empty into the Atlantic Ocean, and surrounded by The Battery. Both provide a DREAM location for our couples!
WHITE POINT GARDEN

Folly Beach, just south of Charleston, is known for it's fine white sand, its wooden pier that stretches 1000 feet into the ocean, and a main street that is lined with surf and souvenir shops for that real hometown feel. Talk about relaxing and a completely different vibe that Charleston! Think about bringing a beach blanket and picnic, even your pups since it is dog friendly. This location is perfect for couples! Be prepared to get barefoot and walk the waters edge hand-in-hand with your love. Folly Beach is absolutely perfect for sunset sessions, known for it's pink cotton candy skies and warm ocean breeze nearly year round.

How romantic is a portrait session while drifting along the Charleston harbor where you see all the sites the Low Country has to offer. Soak up an evening with your love, feeling the warm sea breeze, sipping champagne, and lounging in the Atlantic sun, all while having your portraits taken!

You don't have to leave the comfort of your own home. We focus on natural, authentic moments - By doing activities and being at home, you feel more at ease and comfortable. Cuddling on the sofa, coffee on the porch swing, curled up with your fur babies, enjoying a glass of wine by the fire... these might sound routine, but are moments can be more romantic than a candlelit dinner out, if you're more at ease. Plus, we never have to worry about weather.

Centrally located downtown Charleston, the waterfront site on the Cooper River, the Custom House is a historic vision. This classical design structure with Greek and Roman elements, include floors covered with black and white marble tiles laid in a gorgeous diamond pattern, bronze doors, and limestone columns. This location is most definitely an eye stopper and photographs like no other!

This hidden corridor downtown Charleston is an alley is designed with some of the most beautiful entrance ways and foliage in Charleston. You will be swept away in the beautiful entrance ways of the private residences, cobblestone driveways, tall Palmetto trees, and exquisite doorways. Longitude Lane offers one of the most picturesque views in the city, giving you a glimpse back in time to what Charleston must have looked like before the modern age of transportation. Perfect for sunset sessions, the light under the mighty oaks that shade it, make portraits feel editorial, dynamic, and beautifully composed.

If you're looking for a little more outfit inspiration, we recommend heading over to our Pinterest boards to browse outfit ideas, but we're always here for personal guidance as well!
FIND INSPIRATION
If you can't tell, flowers are our love language and would have them in every portrait we capture if we could, so we will always recommend a beautiful bouquet or hand-held basket filled with florals! Other things fun to have is champagne for popping, a floppy hat (more for holding than wearing), a picnic basket with a few of your favorites, a blanket for sitting, and even a pair of bicycles. If you want to go over the top, renting a vintage car is always a lot of fun!
WHAT TO BRING
When picking outfits we recommend keeping in mind the word “complement” rather than “match.” For example, if he is wearing a blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, she may want to choose a long, soft blue dress. It can also be a great idea to choose “color-families,” such as pastels or jewel tones.

WARDROBE STYLING
The sooner the better! Our weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly with weddings - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to us, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a retainer. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, we take photos for a living and we even feel like a deer in the headlights when we're in front of the camera. You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and we direct you through poses, you'll find that being photographed is actually fun!
We're Awkward IN PHOTOS
Rescheduling is the easiest option, but it stinks. If your sessions must have blue skies, then we’ll need to pick a new date and we typically make the call to reschedule the morning of or within a few hours of the session. If there’s lightning, high winds, hail, or similar unsafe conditions, we will need to reschedule without question. Sometimes though, if it’s just overcast skies with only a chance, it’s fun to grab a clear umbrella and have fun with it!
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high-resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases, and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors.
