Charleston Family Portraits. If you would have told us a little more than two years ago, that we would be planning Rachel and Paul’s wedding, they would have a baby, build a home, and we all would move across the country, we would have called you crazy, but that’s exactly what we did.

Makenna was only a month old when we arrived in Charleston. It’s funny to think she will never know California as home. This true southern girl is the light of all our lives. With all the hustle and bustle of moving and expanding our business to be bi-coastal, we hadn’t taken the time to capture our own lives, until now.

Rachel and Paul celebrating two years of marriage, buying a house, and becoming parents, it was definitely time for some Charleston family portraits. We felt it fitting to start in the old naval yard, since their engagement session was captured in one, and where all of this began.

From there we couldn’t resist a Sullivan’s Island family portrait session just as the sun was setting. The snowy white sandy shore, tall wavy sea grass, and the partially buried picket fence with a pelican perched along the top. An absolute postcard moment. There is where we captured these family memories, the next chapter of calling Charleston, South Carolina home.
