Downtown Charleston Engagement Session | Gardens, dresses with bows, picnics, champagne toasts (and sprays!), and a gorgeous couple!?!? That to us sounds like the perfect engagement session! This downtown Charleston engagement session is one we will never forget!
Emily and Evan met through mutual friends and dated long distance for years. Emily from South Carolina and Evan from California, decided it was time to be closer together and moved to Boston to start their lives together.
One weekend while at a lake in South Carolina with their immediate families, Evan got down on one knee and asked Emily to be his wife, to which she happily said YES! With both their families all over the country, having a wedding in Charleston was an absolute dream come true for the both of them!
When planning an engagement session, we always help our clients prepare with outfit ideas and things to bring, but these two went over the top! As they strolled through a Charleston secret garden, picnicked beneath the ancient oak trees, cuddled along the low hanging moss-covered paths, and popped champagne along the famous black and white checked floors of downtown Charleston, we could only imagine what is in store for their wedding! Congratulation you two and we cannot wait to capture your wedding day!

MEET LAURA & RACHEL
Together, we have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, and make up one incredibly unique mother-daughter fine art wedding photography team. We have documented weddings from the breathtaking West Coast, to the historic East, and have had our work published internationally both in print and online. Our wanderlust hearts have taken us all over the country, capturing love stories, and visiting quaint hometown coffee shops along the way, and even though we've spent most of our lives in a nautical California town, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston. We are photographers, directors, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your wedding.
And WE can't wait to get to know you!
