Charleston Anniversary Session. This is what you call true southern love! Andy was born and raised on a small rural island in the suburbs of Charleston, me, a small nautical home-town on the central coast of California. Over 2,700 miles separated us for nearly four decades. We both experienced life in completely different ways, yet with so many similarities.

We both have two kids, never wandered too far from where we were born (me, until now), and really enjoy the outdoors. I’ve always been a hiking and camping lover, he’s more the hunter and fisherman. Now together we spend countless hours each month on the lake, take spontaneous road trips exploring our gorgeous coastline, and just really enjoy each others company. Andy is a huge seafood lover, me not so much, have learned one of our only differences lay in our taste buds. That just means more restaurant exploration, dinners in trying new foods, and a lot of sampling off each others plate. 🙂

A few weeks before we we’re embarking on our cross country trip, relocating to South Carolina, Rachel convinced me the easiest way to meet someone would be online. I signed up for Match and was a little hesitant at first since I hadn’t dated in nearly twenty years, plus the whole online thing was intimidating, but God knew what was in store for us. I had been in Charleston less than two weeks when this handsome southern gentleman swept me off my feet, now I can’t imagine life without him.

Thank you Rachel for capturing these of us and being that extra push I needed to get out of my comfort zone. Here’s to the beginning of our next chapter in life!
