San Francisco Engagement | Amanda and Tino actually went to the same high school, but only vaguely knew of each other through friends. Tino was two years older, so once he graduated, they had lost any contact. Amanda was friends with Tino’s sister, and one day mentioned she should hang out with her brother (hint hint, wink wink) who thought she was cute. Amanda was invited up to their lake house to celebrate the fourth of July weekend, and her and Tino hit it off immediately. The rest is history!
Amanda always imagined when the time came for the proposal, it would be at the lake house where they first met, or one of their trips since they both love to travel so much. To her surprise, it was completely the opposite. One lazy Saturday morning, still in pajamas, making breakfast together, Tino asked if she had seen the new ornament he added to the Christmas tree. Knowing his since of humor, she was expecting something silly. She saw the word “Marry” and thought to herself, this goofball spelled Merry Christmas wrong. To her surprise, as she spun it around, it read “Will you marry me?” When she turned back to Tino, he was down on one knee. Talk about being so personal and sweet!
Since Amanda and Tino live near San Francisco, how perfect was it to capture their engagement session there while we were in California! We walked the eucalyptus forest of Lover’s Lane, hand in hand, balancing on fallen tree logs, really getting to know these two. Let us just tell you, these guys are SO MUCH FUN! As the sun was setting, we headed towards Sutro Baths, exploring the rocky side we hadn’t visited before. It was a dream! The soft light, ocean spray, crashing waves, and beautiful bouquet make by Love and Flowers by Angie, was an absolute perfect ending to an amazing afternoon with these two.
When the search for a wedding venue began, Amanda had an idea of what she was looking for, an elegant and classy barn, but couldn’t find exactly what she was looking for. That was until her and Tino made a weekend excursion to Monterey for the first time and found The Barns at Cooper Molera and fell in love instantly! We cannot wait to capture their wedding there next June! Until next time California!
