Folly Beach Anniversary. We moved to Charleston ten months ago. 10 months! We can hardly believe it’s been that long already. While we were going through the process of building our home, so were Courtney and Jesse. These two-amazing people, actually became our neighbors, moving right next door! Talk about southern hospitality! From Augusta, with their two beautiful daughters (Makenna’s future BFF’s, she just doesn’t know it yet), are just a dream to call friends. Always smiling, mowing our lawn if they’re doing theirs, watching Makenna if we have last minute meetings or shoots, being a nurse, Courtney has even stitched Paul’s finger, and Jesse helped us board our windows is we evacuated from the hurricane. Absolutely amazing people!
They married just over five years ago in the Caribbean. Having not had couples’ portraits since then, we knew it was time! Plus, with their new home with blank wall space, canvases were a must! We started with the entire family in a traditional Charleston mossy-tree lined setting. An outfit change later, we ended at Folly Beach, one of the most gorgeous white sandy beaches near Charleston and close to home.
These two magically lit up in from of the camera! With just enough time to spare before the sun kissed beneath the waters edge, barefoot and in love, these two strolled the water line in disbelief this was real life. Married to the love of their lives, two wonderful girls, a dog, and a brand-new dream home. This moment, right this very second, life needed to be captured. Hectic schedules can wait, crying toddlers won’t be this age very long, decorating a new house never feels done, but overall, this is a wonderful life, and we’re so honored to call them friends. We will always remember this Folly Beach anniversary session!
