Back in October we were asked to host a bridal runway show, but we felt like the Patriots did during halftime of yesterdays super bowl, nearly defeated. We had less than a week to pull this off and expectations were high. If you read the recap blog of the event, you know in the last few minutes we had some remarkable plays, that made this a winning event! The best part for the brides who attended, the giveaways!
This is something we hardly ever do, but one of the most sweetest, adorable couples ever, won a portrait session with us. We started emailing back and forth right away, it helped that Lauryn and Mitch were super excited! Lauryn started dress shopping as she dreamed of something flowy along the Big Sur coast. Talk about an ideal client! That’s all she had to say to us and we knew we were going to be best-est of friends.
The day arrived and the weather in Big Sur was oh-so perfect! The sun was shinning, yet this light cloud layer was blowing in, leaving us with this gorgeous soft box of delicious light. Oh yes, if you know me well, you know I refer to magical light as delicious! Lauryn and Mitch were the adventurous type, down for anything our little hearts desired. We had them scaling rock walls, leaping crevasses, and dodging waves. Most of all, we watched them have the time of their lives. No stress, no pressure, not surrounded by anyone or anything they knew, it was just them. Moments that literally took our breaths away.
These two were so perfect, Rachel and I glanced at each other with the same look. We had our photography workshop quickly approaching and still needed to find a couple to model for us. We instantly knew these two would be perfect! Wait until you see them in bridal attire coming later this week! For now, here’s a sneak peek into our anniversary session with Lauryn and Mitch!

MEET LAURA & RACHEL
We are photographers, proposal planners, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your big life moments. We have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, making one incredibly unique mother-daughter team and have documented weddings and proposals in destinations all around the world. Even though we've spent most of our lives in the nautical California town of Monterey, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston.
