Rachel’s bridal shower was something I had thought about from the moment she said yes! I wanted something well thought out, details galore, with all our close family and friends, yet affordable. I wanted, well, everything. That’s not too much to ask, right? I’ll be the first to admit I put too much pressure on myself. I guess being in the industry, knowing what’s out there, I just wanted everything to make my baby’s day to be perfect.
Well, with the help of SO many of our amazing creative friends, we pulled off an event unlike I ever imagined! Sarah from La Bella Weddings helped plan an execute this surprise. Yup, that’s right, all Rachel knew was she was having a shower, not one other detail. Floral Design by Reina came in and went to town on decor! I mean she had flowers everywhere and they were GORGEOUS! Let’s not forget about her ice flower cubes, a new favorite! Angie from Flores de Papel brought this wall of paper flowers to life that was the absolute center of attention. Pour Girl created Rachel two signature drinks, The Blushing Bride and Appley Ever After. Delish! The Crafting Casa’s calligraphy signage was the perfect finishing touch I’d dreamed about! Room for Dessert created the ideal Kate Spade inspired cake, while Blue Ace Bake Shoppe’s hand drawn custom cookies we’re out of this world amazing! Both almost too pretty to eat… I said almost, of course I tried them all!
Rachel arrived early to our house so we could get ready together, but Ashley from Blush Hair & Makeup Design was here to surprise her! Rachel was speechless! She was then driven to the shower where she arrived to a houseful of girls, hugs, and lots of food. But the icing on the cake, her bridesmaid Natalie Franke, didn’t want me to touch a camera that day and actually enjoy the shower. Besides some detail shots from that morning, she took everything else. From the bottom of my heart Natalie, thank you! And to my mom an dad for opening up their house for all the shower shenanigansm I love you guys so much!
There was one last surprise. After drinks, gifts, and games galore, I had told each bridesmaid to pack an overnight bag. From the shower I drove all the bridesmaids (including junior bridesmaids), to Bernardus Lodge and Spa for an overnight poolside stay-cation. Best idea EVER! If you scroll all the way to the bottom, you’ll see why. An absolute perfect ending to an amazing bridal shower weekend!
How about these “No pants are the best pants” tees!?! Another favorite!
