A Carmel Mission Ranch Wedding. Talk about years in the making and we’ve been dying to share this one! It all started back in 2016 when we we hosted the Pottery Barn Bridal Runway Show and Lauryn was the raffle winner for a free couples portrait session. We were instant friends!
We hadn’t yet met Mitch until the day of the session and I don’t think anyone has ever made us laugh so much. Like crying laughing so we could hardly see though our lenses. But as you can see, their Big Sur Anniversary session was absolutely breathtaking!
A few months later we hosted one of our photography workshops and couldn’t think of a better couple to help be our bride and groom models. Needless to say when we asked, they were over -the-top excited, and have been our go-to models time and time again ever since.
A year later they both graduated from college and we couldn’t resist capturing them in their adorable cap and gowns. As we were leaving we had the opportunity to talk to Mitch alone and planted the seed, when he was ready to pop the big question and get down on one knee, we needed to be there to capture it. Guess what?!?! Later that year we got the phone call… He was going to propose!!! We were blessed with the opportunity be there every step of their journey and capture their Big Sur proposal.
Let the engagement session planning begin! We all road-tripped it up the coast to beautiful San Francisco, and boy did they luck out with one of the most gorgeous days of the year! A warm breeze, no fog, and a cotton candy colorful sunset sky. Their San Francisco engagement session was total perfection!
Their big day had finally arrived! We arrived to the Farm House at their Mission Ranch wedding venue, and Lauryn was just gleaming! When we spotted her in the makeup chair, the hugest smile came across her face, and we all ran to each other and hugged for like 10 minutes. Thank goodness Lydia from Blush was still there to touch of her makeup because it was a full happy tear-fest!
The wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect! It was the first sunny day in weeks. California hadn’t gotten rain storms like they had been having in years, it took us moving to South Carolina, but everyone was saying we brought back the sunshine. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky!
We just love these two to pieces and were SO honored to be by their sides to capture their Mission Ranch wedding day. Congratulation Mitch and Lauryn!!!
THESE BRIDAL PORTRAITS! YAAAAASSSSS!
This tennis bracelet was gifted to her by groom-to-be the morning of the wedding.

MEET LAURA & RACHEL
We are photographers, proposal planners, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your big life moments. We have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, making one incredibly unique mother-daughter team and have documented weddings and proposals in destinations all around the world. Even though we've spent most of our lives in the nautical California town of Monterey, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston.
