Currently residing in Florida, where Ladd proposed, they returned to Charleston to say “I do” beneath the centuries-old oaks that make this venue pure Lowcountry magic.

Before their big day, we had the honor of capturing Ashton and Ladd’s engagement session in downtown Charleston, when azaleas and jasmine painted the city in spring color. Their chemistry was undeniable—they laughed and embraced effortlessly among cobblestone streets and blooming gardens. Fast forward to their wedding day, and that same connection shone even brighter. The couple shared a touching first look and private vow exchange—a quiet, emotional pause before the celebration. Those intimate moments, surrounded by the serenity of Legare Waring House, set the tone for a day filled with laughter, love, and elegance.

The celebration that followed was nothing short of spectacular. Ashton and Ladd’s wedding party—twelve bridesmaids and twelve groomsmen—brought incredible energy and joy to the day. One of the most unique touches was the custom bookcases behind the bar, hand-built by Ladd himself, a personal detail that wowed every guest. With YOJ Events orchestrating each moment, the reception glowed with soft lighting, lush florals by Creech’s Florist, and music from the Emerald Empire Band that kept everyone dancing late into the night. As the evening ended, guests lined the oak-shaded pathway for a dazzling ribbon-wand exit, sending the couple off in a swirl of laughter and love.
