Ventana Big Sur Proposal. Now that the bridge is rebuilt from last years storm, access to the southern part of Big Sur is now reopened and back in business! Ventana Big Sur is known for is known for their breathtaking ocean views atop the mountains, infinity pools, Glamping, and now their brand new Glass House. The Glass House was built as a place to showcase local artists work, and has a long extending glass deck to capture a sunset like no other place in the world!

We had the honor of being there opening weekend and capture the very first event in the new Glass House, Kolin and Adrienne’s proposal. A long way from home, leaving the freezing winter temperatures of Chicago behind them, vacationed to one of their favorite California locations. Adrienne having no idea what was surprise was coming, had enjoyed a few days of relaxation with Kolin tucked away in Ventana wilderness.

As they strolled the meadow to dinner, they decided to visit the new Glass House to catch a glimpse of the gorgeousness everyone was talking about. We were already inside admiring the work of local artists as they entered. We thought certain Adrienne would see the elegant candlelit sweetheart table we had set up on the glass deck, but she didn’t at first just admiring the views. Kolin took her by the hand leading her outside, with the cutest grim Kolin went down on one knee and all you could hear was the gasp from Adrienne as she realized what was happening.

After her yes and many hugs and kisses later, we were chauffeured around the property capturing the most romantic portraits of these two! Once sunset was near the driver took us back to the glass deck where their coursed dinner was about to begin. They popped champagne and toasted to many new adventures together! This day couldn’t have been any more perfect and can’t wait to capture another Ventana Big Sur proposal! Congratulations you two!!!
