IT’S A GIRL!!! Sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what little girls are made of.
Baby shower plans are in full effect and we now know to doctorate with pink (rose gold to be more accurate)! Today marks 28 weeks and we’ve entered the third and final trimester. In only 12 short weeks we’ll be welcoming Baby Girl Bench into our lives. Even though she’ll be a California native, this little one will be the first in the family raised as a little southern girl. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around that! Being born and raised in California, we’ve never known anything different. This little girl will only know the slower pace of South Carolina, there are so many trees, a coastline with soft sand and long beaches that aren’t covered in seaweed, fried food is everywhere, there’s “traffic” when you’re not the only one on the road, saying yes ma’am and yes sir aren’t disrespectful, and rain is something you experience more than once a year.
Bases on our Instagram story voting, guessing the gender was a tight race with nearly a 50/50 result. If you guessed girl, you were right! If anyone every wondered if nesting is a real thing… IT IS! Excuse us while we continue to wash clothes in special detergent, pack and re-pack the hospital bag, and dream of setting up the nursery in Charleston. That’s right, with BGB (Baby Girl Bench) only living in California for a month, we’ll be setting up her room once we get to the east coast. That also means we’ll be traveling cross country with a one month old. Wish us luck!

We have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, making one incredibly unique mother-daughter team and have documented weddings and proposals in destinations all around the world. Even though we've spent most of our lives in the nautical California town of Monterey, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston.
