Charleston Family Photographer. You read it right! For years, behind the scenes of wedding, engagements, and anniversaries, we’ve been capturing families. Besides that being how we actually started our business over 8 years ago, our engaged couples get married, and you know what they say, “First comes love, then comes marriage, this comes the baby in the baby carriage!” It just seems natural that we would continue on the journey of capturing our gorgeous couples all throughout their life milestones.

Living here in Charleston, it’s definitely a vacation destination. Be it couples or families, our east coast seaboard town is a magical place to capture life. We had the absolute honor if capturing the Roy family, and when talking to them, they wanted something beyond the basic posed traditional family portraits. Of course we had the occasional looking at the camera shot, but besides that, we sent the afternoon with them just walking the beach, having them interact as a family. They drew in the sand, climbed rocks, let the water touch toes as they ran from the waves, collected sea shells, and counted the flocks of pelicans that flew overhead. What sounds like the simplest everyday moments, captured from our lenses, will be a treasured forever.

It’s funny how it can take someone asking us for a session such as this, reminds us that we need to do the same. We spend our days making sure others have their lives captured, and here we are not touching a camera unless we’re working. Well that’s about to change! The sessions we’ve been telling ourselves we’ve wanted to do, our now on the calendar and being planned. Get ready to see more of our lives.
