Luxury Charleston Marriage Proposal | This White Point Garden proposal took our excitement to an entirely new level! This proposal allowed us to use our proposal planning skills from working with florals, transportation, multiple venues, dinner menus, hotel stays, and so much more. This was the proposal we had been waiting for!

We can’t even begin to tell you how much preparation had to be done, not simply for the proposal day itself, but to make it possible. Let us tell you a little backstory! Both living in California, Scott wanted to propose to Emma but wanted it to be elaborate and something she would never in a million years see coming. He always told us he couldn’t keep a secret from her, and she found out every time he tried to surprise her with anything, so this had to be done carefully.

Scott decided on a girl’s trip. You read that right, a girl’s trip! Just Emma and her closest girlfriends, spending a long leisurely trip to somewhere relaxing and beautiful, yet had a nightlight and a lot of shopping! That’s when he knew a Charleston proposal would be the perfect place!

The planning began, and in Emma’s eyes, it had nothing to do with Scott. It was just going to be her and six of her closest friends spending a few days on the opposite coast, with Scott over 2,000 miles away. The funny thing is that only a couple of the girls actually knew of the plan. They legitimately thought this was strictly a girl’s trip, and we were just as surprised themselves when the big moment happened.

Fast forward, the proposal day had arrived. The gazebo was set up, we were set up, and Scott was in place. The girls thought they were doing a historical walking tour, as Charleston is known for, and arrived at the park right on time. We won’t forget that smile that came across Scott’s face when he spotted her across the park way before she knew he was there. He paced a bit, always looking up in her direction. Then, when they were about 20 yards away, Emma stopped in her tracks. She saw him and, for a brief moment, had absolutely no idea why he was there, then a second later, her hands covered her mouth, jaw literally dropping to the floor, and she ran over to him.

Hand in hand, Scott let Emma up the stairs of the gazebo that was surrounded by florals, greenery, candles, and champagne. The world went silent to the couple, but to us, all we heard was the excitement of Emma’s girlfriends surrounding us. With a yes before Scott could finish everything he had planned to say, Emma had no idea this was only the first surprise!

After popping champagne and portraits, the famous low country Walt bus is waiting to take them to dinner. Emma had yet to learn the courtyard at Frannie and The Fox had also been beautifully decorated and was waiting for them. As the friends enjoyed a delicious dinner, we were off to the third and final surprise. A decorated suite at Hotel Bennett. Greenery, florals, hand-painted champagne bottles, chocolate-covered strawberries, and rose petals everywhere! Let us just tell you, this is a luxury Charleson marriage proposal!
