An Intercontinental The Clement Monterey wedding and an absolute amazing couple. Everything about this wedding was a dream come true! You may remember Chris and Michelle from their sunset Carmel engagement session where we strolled though the golf greens of the valley and ended on the coastal rocky shore for sunset.
We walked into the bridal suite of the The Clement Monterey and our breath was taken away. Michelle was just radiating a glow, her smile was from ear to ear, and the excitement in the room was contagious!
After hugs and introductions, Michelle showed us what she had worked so hard on. She had taken our advice, read our bridal guide inside and out, and all her details set aside and ready. First and far most, did you see her Badgley Mischka heels!?!? Holy cow! Then not only one Mrs. Box, but two! She had one for her wedding rings and one for her family heirloom. A complete wedding invitation suite with calligraphy envelopes, vintage stamps and ribbon… yes, yes, yes!!! And that was only the beginning of the day!
Chris and Michelle shared a first look as she was walking down the aisle at the beautiful historic San Carlos Cathedral downtown Monterey. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight. After I Do’s we took an excursion around the Monterey coastline, just a few minutes from The Clement Hotel where the reception was held. We walked the sandy shores then the pier around the hotel for the most romantic husband and wife portraits!
We entered the reception seeing it for the first time with Chris and Michelle, and it was perfection. The reception room for a wedding at The Clement has floor to ceiling windows along one entire wall, so you have views from Monterey to Santa Cruz and the kelp forests that are like no other in the entire world. Their names were illuminated along the dance floor, florals galore everywhere, this was going to be a night everyone remembered.
Chris and Michelle, thank you for the bottom of our hearts for letting us walk this journey along your side. You two are the sweetest people in the entire world and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you guys. Congratulations and cheers to many, many amazing years!
Many thanks to this amazing creative team who brought this wedding together…

MEET LAURA & RACHEL
Together, we have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, and make up one incredibly unique mother-daughter fine art wedding photography team. We have documented weddings from the breathtaking West Coast, to the historic East, and have had our work published internationally both in print and online. Our wanderlust hearts have taken us all over the country, capturing love stories, and visiting quaint hometown coffee shops along the way, and even though we've spent most of our lives in a nautical California town, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston. We are photographers, directors, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your wedding.
And WE can't wait to get to know you!
