Some weddings feel like they were made for a city, and Harrison and Tess’s Hotel Emeline wedding in Charleston was exactly that. These two called Atlanta home, but Charleston had their hearts for this chapter — and Tess made sure every single detail reflected that. From a dreamy evening on the water the night before to a day built entirely from her own vision, this was a wedding that felt wholly, beautifully theirs.
Tess designed this entire day herself, and it showed in every corner. Fifty guests, no wedding party, and an intimate atmosphere that made the whole celebration feel like an evening among your closest people. Hotel Emeline, tucked into the heart of Charleston’s French Quarter, was the perfect canvas — moody, romantic, and layered with the kind of character only this city can offer. The details Tess curated did not just complement the venue; they felt like an extension of it.
The morning began at The Planters Inn, one of Charleston’s most beloved historic properties, where Tess and Harrison each prepared for the day ahead. There is something so grounding about getting ready in a space that carries that much history, and it set a calm, luxurious tone before the first look brought everything into focus. Seeing each other for the first time before the ceremony gave them a quiet moment that was entirely their own — unhurried, genuine, and full of everything words cannot quite capture.
After their first look, we made our way through the historic streets of downtown Charleston for portraits that felt effortless. Cobblestone lanes, wrought iron gates, pastel facades — the city leaned into every frame. And then there was the Pink Figgy, adorned in gorgeous florals by Forever Flowers Charleston. It was one of those details that stopped everyone in their tracks. Tess had thought of everything, and this was the moment it all came together in the most stunning way.
Back at Hotel Emeline, the evening unfolded exactly as Tess had envisioned — warm, elegant, and full of joy. With just fifty guests gathered close, every toast landed, every dance felt personal, and the room held the kind of energy that only comes when the people in it truly belong there. Harrison and Tess spent the night surrounded by the ones who matter most, in a city that clearly loves them back.
Harrison and Tess, what a privilege it was to follow your day from The Planters Inn all the way to the dance floor at Hotel Emeline. Tess, the way you brought this entire vision to life — every bloom, every detail, every perfectly chosen moment — was nothing short of remarkable. We hope your gallery brings it all rushing back, every single time. Congratulations, you two. Atlanta is lucky to have you.
