Charleston Senior Portrait Photographer | Have you ever imagined with submitting your DNA on something like 23andme, you would actually find family you never knew about? Well, it actually happened to us! We started playing around, building a family tree on ancestry, trying to see if we could find out truly the history of our family. Where did we originate from? Was there anyone famous? Any fugitives? Did we really have Native American in our blood that our grandma had told us about for years? Well little did we know, we were about to find something out that would change our lives.
Growing up we’re blessed to have our grandparents as long as we can. Laura had her grandfather until she was about 12 years old, he was like a father to her, but she never got to know him as an adult and have those conversations about how we grew up, his family, and his time in WWII. Little did we know creating a family tree, we would find he had a sister who lived in the neighboring town, who had kids, which are our cousins!
Instead of boring you with the long drawn-out version, todays senior is Erika…. MY COUSIN!!! Want to know the funnies thing? We lived only a few miles apart in California our entire lives, and she chose to attend the College of Charleston, so now we’re both South Carolinians as well! What a small world! Needless to say, Erika you are absolutely GORGEOUS, and we cannot wait to get to know more of our family! Thank your letting us be your Charleston senior portrait photographer!

MEET LAURA & RACHEL
We are photographers, proposal planners, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your big life moments. We have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, making one incredibly unique mother-daughter team and have documented weddings and proposals in destinations all around the world. Even though we've spent most of our lives in the nautical California town of Monterey, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston.
