Wine Country Wedding | COVID couldn’t stop them, even though it seriously tried! We met Johnny and Alison through our dear friends Amy & Jordan, who were planning a dream winery wedding in March of 2020. Little did we know when planning this day a year prior, COVID would change the world literally the weeks leading up to their wedding.

Like most of our 2020 couples, there was no other choice than to postpone. A new date was set, but as that date was approaching, COVID was still on the rise, so these two decided, as many this year have, to elope. A smile court ceremony and a larger celebration later, once the world gets back to normal.

We had the opportunity to finally meet Johnny and Alison in person during one of our trips back to California last year for a gorgeous Big Sur engagement session. Who knew, nearly two years later, we would be flying back for what ended up being the most AMAZING wedding portrait session EVER!

It was a whirlwind weekend to say the least! We left Charleston on Friday and headed to San Francisco. We spent all Saturday afternoon with Johnny and Alison at their original wedding venue. Johnny had still yet to see Alison’s dress, so besides details, we were still able to capture a beautiful first look, bridal portraits, and hours of couples portraits throughout their venue. It was an absolute DREAM! Here is a peek into our day last weekend captguring this goregous wine county wedding!
