Cavallo Point Lodge Wedding, San Francisco, California | We had two more California wedding left after this one, and that was it. It was a weird reality. Not that we would never be back, because obviously we have the west coast in our blood and will always return to where we began, but to not have anything planned was a very odd feeling for us. All it took was for us to say that out loud, and the next four weddings we booked are in California, so if you were worried for a second, don’t be! We’ll be back in December 2021, February, May, July, and September 2022!
We arrived early than normal because this was a new venue for us, and it was HUGE! When the rental car company had given us a mini van to drive around San Francisco in, we thought they were nuts, but when this van became the shuttle for the entire wedding party all day, so we were able to capture every end of this venue, our nightmare had become a dream come true!
We arrived to the girls getting ready. The sun was shinning, yet the clouds filtered light from dark to bright every few minutes. We were officially back on the California coast. Being on the very point of San Francisco, the wind picked up just before the ceremony, and we realized one thing immediately. We had just flown in from a 90 degree Charleston, into a 55 degree foggy San Francisco, and we didn’t bring a jacket. For the first time in we don’t know how long, we were freezing. Has Charleston weather grown on us? Probably. But if we would have remembered the one thing you learn from living on the coast, always dress in layers, we would have been fine.
The wedding went on without a hitch and was beautiful! From the top of the mountains, to beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, we had the most amazing time with these two. From cocktail hour to the most elegant reception, it was pure perfection.
Congratulations Ryan and Kathryn! We were honored to have captured your wedding day! We’re definitely friends for life!

MEET LAURA & RACHEL
Together, we have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, and make up one incredibly unique mother-daughter fine art wedding photography team. We have documented weddings from the breathtaking West Coast, to the historic East, and have had our work published internationally both in print and online. Our wanderlust hearts have taken us all over the country, capturing love stories, and visiting quaint hometown coffee shops along the way, and even though we've spent most of our lives in a nautical California town, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston. We are photographers, directors, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your wedding.
And WE can't wait to get to know you!
