Charleston Proposal | Leo grew up near Virginia Beach and knew when planning to propose to his girlfriend Victoria of seven years, it needed to be near the ocean. Planning this surprise trip months and months in advance, Leo wanted everything to be perfect, so he immediately emailed us to help with the planning process and to help bring this moment to life.
We can’t explain in words how magical morning sunrise light is here in the low country of Charleston. We helped Leo plan a morning brunch date with Victoria that would start with a walk on the beach. We sat on the beach enjoying the morning breeze blowing in off the water, reflecting on how fortunate we are to call this our job. Everyday we have the opportunity to capture the biggest moments and life milestones for all our clients and celebrate along with them. It’s such an amazing feeling!
We watched as Leo and Victoria made their way across the boardwalk leading to the beach. Hand in hand walked down the stairs, kicking off their shoes so their beach stroll would be enjoyed with the sand beneath their toes. They headed our way, walking just along the waters edge. We had our hands in our camera bags just waiting for the down on one knee moment, Leo knowing that is our marks our go time.
What a perfect morning, a perfect moment, and the most perfect proposal. Congratulations Victoria and Leo! We can’t wait to hear more about wedding plans!

Together, we have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, and make up one incredibly unique mother-daughter fine art wedding photography team. We have documented weddings from the breathtaking West Coast, to the historic East, and have had our work published internationally both in print and online. Our wanderlust hearts have taken us all over the country, capturing love stories, and visiting quaint hometown coffee shops along the way, and even though we've spent most of our lives in a nautical California town, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston. We are photographers, directors, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your wedding.
