Seabrook Island Engagement Session | These two came all the way from Tennessee, with their pups Sully we might add, for their engagement session. These two adorable soles were planning a COVID wedding (insert big sigh here). What was originally going to be a large elaborate affair, was now only twenty of their closest family and friends, along the oceanfront Seabrook Island Club.
We decided to explore Seabrook Island in its entirety, even though Charleston has magic of its own, Seabrook is like a hidden oasis only a few miles away. Formerly known as Simmons Island, Seabrook is an exquisitely beautiful, private gated community, that is a barrier island in Charleston County. During the Revolutionary War (in 1779) British and Hessian soldiers landed on the very beach where we ended our session. If you’re a history buff, you will love to look more into this island! They consider Seabrook Island one of the best kept secrets on the East Coast, so yes, it was an absolute dream for an engagement session!
We started at the equestrian center because Ryan proposed on horseback, made our way though the grove of the famous Charleston mossy trees, before ending along the shores of the resort. Literally these two were made to play the part in the Notebook, are they not!
We can’t wait to share these with the world and more from their wedding coming soon! Congratulations Ryan & Katie!!!

MEET LAURA & RACHEL
Together, we have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, and make up one incredibly unique mother-daughter fine art wedding photography team. We have documented weddings from the breathtaking West Coast, to the historic East, and have had our work published internationally both in print and online. Our wanderlust hearts have taken us all over the country, capturing love stories, and visiting quaint hometown coffee shops along the way, and even though we've spent most of our lives in a nautical California town, we now call South Carolina home, expanding to the low country of Charleston. We are photographers, directors, curators, and most of all, storytellers for your wedding.
And WE can't wait to get to know you!
