Charleston Quinceañera Portrait Session | Lauren is a real life princess! Look at her! This was such a dream day for beginning to end! Lets back up a bit, because we found it funny that we spent 8 years photographing in California, in an very Hispanic populated area, yet here in Charleston was our very first quinceañera session, and we can’t wait to do it again!
We met Lauren and her family at Hampton Park, where if you know anything about Charleston, if you’re wanting blooms, you visit here in March and April. There were flowers everywhere! Pink peddles lined the ground from the Camellias, and the white flakes falling from the sky were the oh-so fragrant dog wood trees.
Normally for a senior session, its just the senior and maybe a parent, but Lauren brought an entire crew. What we didn’t know is it takes a team to move in a dress such as this AMAZING Princesa by Ariana Vara gown and we were very thankful to have them!
After the park we headed downtown Charleston, because all we could imagine was this gown draped down the stairs of the United States Custom House. DREAM! Crowds of people gathered to watch, children stopped and pointed and wanted pictures with the real life princess. This Charleston quinceañera portrait session was definitely one we will never forget! Happy sweet 15 Lauren!

Together, we have worked in the wedding industry for over a decade, and make up one incredibly unique mother-daughter fine art wedding photography team. We have documented weddings from the breathtaking West Coast, to the historic East, and have had our work published internationally both in print and online.
