Charleston Proposal | It’s warm summer night, you just finished dinner with the extended family at a beach rental vacation house, when you decide it is too perfect of an evening to miss a sandy stroll with your love. Chris mentioned to Julia his idea to get some fresh seaside air, and she totally agreed. A short walk from the house was a beautiful lighthouse beach Julia visited every summer as a child she was eager to show him. Little did she know, Chris knew all about this beach from stories he had heard, and he had something even more memorable planned.

We were ready. Toes in the sand, hands on our cameras ready for the moment. Chris and Julia walked down from the sand dunes towards the waters edge. It was low tied so the lighthouse island seemed bigger than ever before, and for the longest time, he just held her. They cuddled as the warm breeze was the only saving grace of the humid summer temperature. He took her hand and slowly knelt down on one knee. Julia was in complete shock, stepping back, covering her mouth, and letting out the cutest squeal of excitement.

Next thing we knew, Chris was pointing us out, and Julia just couldn’t believe what was actually happening. We spent the most magical hour with them walking the beach along sunset, swinging on tree swings, popping champagne, and left the biggest surprise for last. Chris had asked us to create a gorgeous sweetheart table dessert-style picnic filled with all her favorites. Again, she was left breathless!
